Certificate Program on Data Analysis – Biomedical & Health
The Certificate of Study on Biomedical and Health Data Analysis is a program suitable for researchers and analysis with biomedical, computer science, statistical, biomedical, or health services backgrounds. The Biomedical and Health Data Analysis addresses the growing needs of data analytics by providing the knowledge and skills necessary to work
with medical datasets increasingly available in healthcare systems (e.g. electronic health records or health registries) and clinical research enterprises (e.g. data resulting from omics analyses).
This certificate program is multidisciplinary that prepares researchers to conduct insightful, applied “small or big data” analytics for health services, clinical, and public health research.
To prepare students to conduct analyses of, and analytics with health-oriented data sets.
To prepare students on how to obtain medical and health-oriented data sets with data standardization and ethical rules.
To provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of data processing and machine learning.
To provide team science and practical software experiences for students addressing health-related questions through data analysis.
