The course will also discuss recent applications of machine learning, such as to robotic, intelligent control systems, data mining, computer vision, autonomous navigation, bioinformatics, biometric recognition, medicine, business intelligent, and natural language processing, text and web data processing.

This certificate program is multidisciplinary that prepares researchers and data analysts to conduct insightful, practical applications on machine learning and deep learning to solve industrial, medical, trade, economic, and business problems.

Program Objectives

MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Glenbow College may ask candidate students to have an ONLINE interview with course instructors. However, the minimum requirements for candidates of this course are as following;

Admission to the certificate program will require to have the following background:

Knowledge of basic computer science principles and skills, at a level sufficient to write a reasonably non-trivial computer program.

Familiarity with the statistic and probability theory, linear algebra (vectors and matrix transformation) and calculus (derivatives and differential equations).

COURSE DURATION

The tentative course duration is five (5) weeks and 90 hours in total. (Four (4) hours in a day and twenty (20) hours in a week.

The hours may change as required.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

No Prerequisites required.

WHAT ARE THE ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS?

The course will be ONLINE and LIVE which means active participation is required. The assessment requirements will consist of written assignments, active attendance, presentations, and group work. At the end of each module, students will take an ONLINE and LIVE final exam.

COURSE BREAKDOWN

The course includes but not limited to the followings;

Multi-Layered Perceptron and Error Back-Propagation (BP) algorithm
LMS, ADALINE, MADALINE and BM models.
Fuzzy C-Means Algorithm (Type-1, Type-2)
Hybrid Algorithms

Various applications will be discussed.


Each student has to present a project by using real data, a feature extraction method, and a classifier algorithm.
